Mentoring Program

Organisations that purchase Process Tools for a specific project often find the asset is underutilised after completion of that project. Even worse, customers often invest significantly more in creating content using the Tool over and above what they paid for the Tool itself. This represents a significant investment in project artefacts, models and skills, which are lost as the team moves onto other projects. The iOctane Mentoring Program is a clearly defined package of services to ensure your organisation can leverage the investment it has made in Process Tools.

The iOctane Mentoring Program can include the following key services depending upon your specific requirements:

Training

iOctane recognises that onsite training may not be convenient for your company, so we’ve created a new online training capability called iOctaneU. To provide you convenient cost-effective training, we’ll provide your entire team with on-demand access to Enterprise Architecture Tool video training courses for 12 months as part of the package.

On Site Mentoring

iOctane’s On-site Consulting/Mentoring services provide:

    - Expertise in methodology, capability assessment, process improvement, architecture design, etc.

    - Customised Modelling Language Template, modelling language creation to simplify usage and improve       efficiency for Tool users.

Consultant On-Call

 iOctane will provide one year’s access to our Consultant “On Call” service, providing users with phone based access to technical consulting.

Associate Network

Access to the iOctane Associate Network (10+ Industry Experts) including a one hour Teleconference Consultation per associate organisation, including:

On-site Vendor Technical Support

iOctane can provide onsite or remote resources to perform or assist your own IT staff complete application client upgrades and server based platform application upgrades and the associated database migration.

On-site Vendor Application Support and Mentoring

Many of iOctane’s clients are facing internal resourcing constraints; especially on projects were resources are often engaged on short to medium term contracts, and may need additional toolset or modelling support. The organisation may have significant investment in technologies supplied by iOctane, but they may not have the internal resources to support the application at the user level, and therefore look to alternate support models.

Organisations have different risk profiles and approaches to application support, but the one thing in common is that they all seek to maintain a return on their investments.

iOctane can provide an onsite resource on a contract basis to provide the application support and training, with the added value of being able to mentor staff on a one to one basis.

The Onsite Vendor Application Support service provides a dedicated, full-time resource available onsite with the customer.  Acting as a mentor, the resource may also provide quality assurance services, one-on-one training, defect analysis and support, knowledge management and administration services.

On-site Classroom Training

iOctane can provide onsite classroom based training in the use of Applications supplied by iOctane.

The courses may be provided as standard training programmes or custom tailored to meet your business objectives and timelines.

Invaluable for project teams, iOctane onsite training service provides a range of standard courses (from our suppliers) and advanced courses written by iOctane.  Courses typically run for 2 to 5 days depending on the program and include hands-on labs, workshops and practical examples.

All courses are delivered by certified training professionals, who have undergone training by our suppliers.

Online Training

iOctane has developed a range of online training courses, available via our online training portal iOctaneU

These online courses include a mix of user exercises, supporting Videos and quizzes to test your understanding, and are applicable to any roles that are required to model processes, systems, and Business Architecture.
